Meet Farah! An incredibly imaginative and thoughtful ‘thank you’ gift from one of our patients. We’re now the proud sponsor of a beautiful Guide Dog. Gillian tells us why she decided to present the clinic with this amazing gift…

“After years of being told NO, you can’t have laser treatment!  NO, you can’t get those frames for your prescription or NO, you can’t get daily contact lenses for your prescription. I could hardly believe I what I was hearing when Jonathan Ross said YES! You are all SUPER HEROES to me but clearly Mr Ross has shot to the top of my rather short list of super heroes! No more steaming up whilst hill walking or coming indoors on a cold day. No more having to carry 3 pairs of glasses with me when on holiday (prescription shades for outdoors, regular glasses for indoors and readers for maps & menus). Hello to being able to use binoculars unhindered and to actually being able to ‘see’ when swimming. I know my prescription is difficult so thanks must go also to the lab that made the lens implants. They are anonymous people but they have played a vital role.
There is no box of chocolate or bottle of malt (I bet Mr Ross has a good collection) that can sum up my appreciation so I have sponsored a
Guide Dog on behalf of those less fortunate. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
