Refractive Hospital Optometrist – Edinburgh

We are excited to provide an exceptional opportunity for a talented and ambitious and qualified optometrist in Edinburgh. Laser Vision Scotland optometrists form a core role within our refractive team. This diverse and rewarding appointment includes initial diagnostic assessment and preoperative counselling of laser vision correction patients and surgical cases such as cataract and refractive lens exchange, providing technical support for our excimer laser, contact lens trials, postoperative care and refraction work, independent prescribing, patient liaison, teaching and education. Other roles may be considered according to individual competencies and preference. The role requires clinical excellence, a desire for challenging complex clinical work, a mindset for continuous learning and development, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a calm disposition. Work will be carried out within a state of the art private hospital.
